Our ethos of volunteerism is infused with our values of integrity, accountability and teamwork. We believe in a society which supports and encourages those most vulnerable.
As a small boutique agency we may not always have the big budgets to make an impact, but we do have heart, skills, and the ability to leverage our portfolio of clients, service providers and project partners to mobilise resources for change.
Our focus has primarily been to advance the voices of those who are often left out of development decisions: women, youth and marginalised groups.
Co-founded the NICG in partnership with the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa. Funded the early groundwork from personal capital. Now an independent, self-sustaining body shaping governance standards in Namibia.
A citizen response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Co-founded and designed the operational framework. By close of the project: over N$10 million raised and more than 70,000 Namibians supported across most regions of the country.
Trustee of the human-rights organisation now operating in 16 countries across the African continent. Led the scaling from a Namibian trust to a regional African player with a regional office in Cape Town. Former Chairperson, 2015 to 2018.
Namibia's Media & Information Literacy Learning Initiative. Governance and stakeholder coordination support. Operates with 70+ active stakeholders and a network of 1,000+ youth across Namibia, Lesotho, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire and Uganda.
A continuous in-house programme since 2013. Each cohort spends time inside Twafiika gaining the workplace-ready skills classrooms can't teach. Many graduates now hold senior roles in industry, government and the development sector.
Co-lead in establishing TEDx events in the country. Mentored University of Namibia students to deliver their inaugural campus event in 2015 and beyond. A platform for ideas worth spreading, owned and run by Namibians.
